Design Corazon is focussed on providing professional services in architecture, interior design, space planning and project management in the built environment sector. The company has been in operation since June 2009 and is directed and managed by Edlyn Natalie Thomas.

Inspired by our combined abilities and strengths, Edlyn Thomas and Hector Iglesias contrived the name Design Corazon. ‘Corazon’ speaks of creativity, heart and passion while the ‘Design’ concept calls upon deliberate thought for arrangement, purposeful utilisation and aesthetic appeal. Design Corazon then, is established on the sweet amalgamation of passionate creativity and intentional planning. Every project is dealt with on an individual basis; summons our best available creative, imaginative and design expertise in order to deliver a quality product within the financial and time restraints of the project requirements.

Architectural Services

We provide technical architectural design services for Private dwellings, low to medium density residential estates, student accommodation, low cost housing initiatives, corporate, retail, restaurants, educational, light industrial and medical facilities.

Interior Décor & Design

The design and interior décor of any facility must reflect the personality and meet the comfort needs of the client or the purpose requirements of that infrastructure.

Restoration and Refurbishment Architecture

Design Corazon offers services to redesign for restoration of traditional building elements as well as new lighter materials to create and achieve the desired architectural impression.

Project Management

On project management in construction, we apply our knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to a broad range of construction activities in order to meet the requirements of a particular project. We also play a comprehensive role in the contract and building administration process and the site construction monitoring.

Turn Key Services

Design Corazon Architects provides a competent and professional team for all disciplines (all engineering professional and technical services and built environment sub-contractors) for projects that require integrated services from concept to completion.

Space Management & Planning

We constantly aim to make space practical and workable whilst fluidly integrating interior and exterior spaces. Design Corazon provides services in concept planning and detail design of interior and exterior spaces.

Change of Use

Design Corazon specialises in conversions of existing buildings for use that is different to its initial design intention. They have completed conversions of office blocks, day clinics and industrial buildings to Sub-Acute Hospitals for Circle Heath Care.

House Subramanien, Waterfall Village Estate, Gauteng – Miss Subramanien’s new residence is on a 600sqm corner plot where servitudes reduced significant ground area.

Revamp of the existing residence to compliment and reflect the ocean view and include an office space inclusive of boardroom and library

House deBeer, Serengeti Golf Estate. The new residence includes an unusual roof design to compliment the aesthetics comply with the roof height and material regulations of the estate.

House Lesiba, Linden, Gauteng.
Extensive thought and design time was invested in the additions and alterations of this family home.
